  We chose this hotel because of some good reviews online and it seemed pretty reasonable price. It turned out to be great, a very friendly hotel, perfect location in smart village just off the A1. The staff welcomed us on arrival, and our double room was excellent. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere with coffee and newspapers downstairs in the afternoon. Decided to eat in the restaurant in the evening, because it looked lively and food looked good. We weren't disappointed! And there were a couple of great real ales at the bar so I didn't have to waste my money on the usual bottled stuff. Next time we need to stay in Cambs we'll definitely come back to The George in Buckden.
